What we collect

Three things, all of which you type in yourself: your name, your email address and your mobile phone number. We also record the date you ticked the consent box, whether you have watched the intro video, and when you last logged in.

Why we collect it

Your email is how you log in — there is no password, so the login link has to go somewhere. Your name is so that messages are not addressed to a stranger. Your phone number is so we can text you occasionally about new material, which you agreed to when you registered. That is the whole list of reasons.

We do not sell it

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to data brokers, advertisers or anyone else who wants to market to you. The only outside parties who touch it are the services that make this site run — our email provider, our payment processor and our host — and they act only on our instructions.

How to be deleted

Email privacy@diy.attorney and ask. Say it plainly — “delete my information” is enough. We will remove your name, email and phone number from our records and confirm when it is done. You do not have to give a reason.

Texts

Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. That stops the texts; it does not delete your account. Use the address above for that.
